Good Hands²
For the horses who needed a second chance.
We built a program for the 501(c)(3) organizations doing the hard, unglamorous, underfunded work for horses — rescue, sanctuary, therapy, education. Here’s how we help.
What registered organizations receive
A wish list page on our site
We’ll build you a branded page where your supporters can purchase products directly for your horses. You pick what you need. We handle the page.
Every gift, squared
When a supporter sends your organization a product through Good Hands², that’s not where it ends. Improve Equine adds 10% of the retail value as a cash donation on top — sent straight to you. The gift, plus our match. That’s the squared part.
Dividends from our professional network
Licensed vets and nutritionists in our affiliate program can choose to route a portion of their earnings directly to registered organizations. You don’t have to do anything — we just need you registered.
A mention in our community
We talk about the organizations we work with. To our list, on our social, wherever it fits. Small reach, genuine enthusiasm.
Who this is for
We’re not trying to be everything to everyone. Good Hands² is for legitimate equine 501(c)(3) nonprofits. That means:
- You operate as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit
- Horses are central to your mission — rescue, rehabilitation, sanctuary, therapeutic riding, equine-assisted services, or education
- You have horses in your care right now
- You’re not a for-profit breeding or training operation
- You can provide your EIN and a brief description of your work
We review every application. We’re small, so it might take a week or two. We’ll email you either way.
Want to try the product before you apply? Request a free six-flavor sampler for the horses in your care — no application needed.
Why these make good gifts for a working barn
A rescue horse usually shows up dehydrated, wary, and freshly uprooted — new barn, new water, new feed, often new medication. Our hydration mixes and apothecary herbs were built for exactly these moments.
Hydrate
Get a nervous newcomer drinking
Horses arrive dehydrated and land somewhere the water smells and tastes unfamiliar — so they drink even less. A flavored Water Buffet gives them a reason to put their nose back in the bucket.
Mask & entice
Hide meds, win over picky eaters
Reintroducing feed and medication to a recovering horse is delicate work. Top-dress a mix to cover the smell and taste of medication, and coax selective eaters back to the bucket.
Enrich
Make stall rest bearable
Horses on stall rest get bored fast. Mix with water into a paste and load up a lick mat or infuse in water, freeze in a bundt pan and hang as a cool treat for enrichment that keeps them occupied while they heal.
Support an Equine Nonprofit Directly
Send something that matters.
Pick an organization, then shop. These are good starting points — but once an organization is selected you can add anything on the site to their gift cart, and we ship straight to them.
Once you pick an organization, every product you add — here or anywhere on the site — ships to them, and we add 10% as a cash donation.
